Just got a pair of the Beartooths. Love the snug, super locked fit in the heel and midfoot while providing plenty of ball and toe room. I really dug my lowa Tibet hi's after about a year plus of break in (they were fine before that, but absolute money after a true, long break in). But by then...
Have you done much backpacking in those type of conditions? Don't assume that 25 is as cold as it sounds. For some it is, for some it isn't; everybody is different. Maybe try to get out in similar conditions this spring if you haven't in the past. You may find that any type of long johns, even...
Don't own both, but tried both prior to purchasing sg 6900 on xcurve. Both were comfortable, exo certainly not straight backed, has some curve. Sg philosophy is to try to distribute at least some of the weight to the lateral contact of the pack on your back and on top of shoulders. But just a...
Or take the advice of those who have been there, done that; and buy once, cry once. At half price, might do u fine if you're just getting into backpack hunting and don't really expect to be packing out too much game. But if you've had some success and are looking to upgrade your pack for more...
I've only seen weak commercial ones, or custom made serious saddles. I've got the same question for dog backpacking

New YouTube vids just posted for Merino x and aerowool pieces. My only question, after watching these vids, is why they will have a male model stand around in his underwear, but they use a manikin for the women's underwear? [emoji848][emoji12]

I think their pants are designed to be nearly flood height. I know a lot of guys don't like the shorter length, skinny jeans look, but I think it's intentional to avoid excess fabric getting caught on brush, under boots, etc.

I get the impression most sizing issues are more about fit preferences. Using wilkin and chama as an example. As a possible base layer, Wilkin would be more fitted, to easily layer under, chama would be looser, to easily layer over. You could probably do medium of both and have the fit that...
Vapor is measured greater waterproof and way more breathable than stormtight. They probably figured if they could get better performance for lighter weight, why not. Stormtight wasn't really intended as an all day every day multiple weeks every year piece anyhow; like seak is. Everybody wants...
I was in the two feet of snow up high in September last year, and definitely did not need the seak. Even in moderately heavy snow, I just ran chama most of the time. That wool pretty well dries as fast as it gets wet in most snow. But there are times the rain jacket comes in handy for high...
It's way more durable than any mainstream brand lightweight rain jacket, but I wouldn't want to go uphill through over head high alder with it too many times. If you're hunting anywhere off the coasts, vapor is the way to go. Most years you'll hardly wear it, just sits in your pack as a security...
I've heard that. And it would make sense that I would be particularly sensitive to it, as I've had Lasik. Best gift I ever gave myself, but the way your eyes see drastically contrasting light edges is definitely affected.
