Objective: lowest cost binoculars that will actually work well and not strain my eyes.
Where it'll be used: NorCal and Oregon
Type of hunt: spot and stalk bowhunting
Budget range: is there anything worth looking at under $400? I remember reading in either this forum...
You can make your own with a dehydrater like Excalibur brand, higher upfront investment, will last years and you can do a lot with it including making sauces and meal kits to rehydrate and reheat on the trail. Worth looking into if you plan to go out on multi day hikes/hunts
So you take molle 2 frame and shoulder straps and detach the pack? Replace it with the cargo panel? Or does the cargo panel attach to the main pack somehow?
If just the frame and cargo panel, how many days camp can be stored in that?

Have an ILBE gen 2, but haven't got a chance to use it yet. Wondering if anyone who has used it and other packs prefers something else, or can give insight here.

Hold 3-5 days gear
