Looking to sell my Sitka Bivy 30 pack. Just upgraded to a Mystery Ranch Metcalf and no longer need it. The pack is in good shape for a field used pack. As you can see in the first picture, slight staining on mesh material. Thoroughly washed after each hunt.
Asking $180 tyd (CONUS). PM with...
Was just about to post about this same thing, regarding AZ. A few months ago I talked with the local Wildlife Manager to get more information about active springs for drinking water. Him and I sat on OnX for about an hour discussing potential seasonal and yearly water sources. Feel free to PM me...
1) 6 or 8" height
2) Non-insulated
3) Waterproof
4) I haven't tried your 10" hunters - but I've always wanted to see a 6 or 8" lightweight hunting boot with mid-flex sole.

Have you considered a Steripen for water purification? I can't help you when it comes to tablets/bad taste - but I'm a big fan of the UV water purifier. Reusable and good for most water sources (either clear or cloudy and effective against microorganisms).
I want to also recommend TFO for a great intermediate rig. Excellent customer service and warranty. I once broke the tip off my 7wt rod after a little spill and sent it in for them to repair. Instead, they sent me a brand new rod and a TFO hat, free of charge.
I'm a personal fan of the uninsulated Mountain Extreme boots from Kenetrek. Expensive boots, but great quality and a perfect year-round boot. Wearing a warm pair of socks from Darn Tough/Smartwool is a must in November-December.
I second AA Optics. The stock sometimes runs low, but check back often and try to catch it when they restock. Great value and the Vortex Warranty is hard to beat. Picked up a pair of Kaibab 15x56s for 50% of MSRP.
