How do you all carry your gun with the pack on your backs?
I carry a custom 7mm mag in my gun bearer. #6 bull barrel, manners t2a stock. Gun weighs about 15 pounds. I like the gun bearer better than having the gun strapped to the back of the pack. The weight doesn't pull back on you, but the one shoulder does ache a bit after a long hike. It's also way... -

I have kenetreks, lowas, and crispis. My toes smash the front of the boot going down steep hills in all of them. The lowas are the worst. Must be the shape of my foot. -

I used the kifaru gun bearer this year on my mystery ranch. Best system I've ever used. I was so sick of my sling sliding off my shoulder because of my pack. -

Window Mount and Spotter head advice
I have a vanguard window mount that kind of sucks. Wouldn't stay in the exact position when I would lock it. After getting a benro head and slik tripod I had a machine shop fit the benro to the window clamp. Works awesome!! -

Bought a Metcalf - Should I sell it?
What was the price for the load sling?? I've been looking for one for a year. They offered that to me as an option a few years ago when I bought my pack and I thought I would get it later on if needed. Now with the new structure you can only get it with a bds nice frame. -

Where in MT are you? I live in butte. I own the big kowa with the wide angle eye piece if you ever want to put them side by side. I bet that 95 is bitchin! Congrats!! -

My normal is 9.5. I tried both sizes in the store and the 10s felt better. But the store isn't the same as elk hunting. I should have went with the 9.5s. I had read that with lowas you should go up a bit. So the 10s feeling better made sense- Brasco20
