It doesn't seem right for a new higher end rifle. Do most hinged floor plate mags have similar problems? I wonder if it's possible to convert it to a detachable mag

Yep, it is pretty pricey, so I was hoping someone plinked enough with his/hers and willing to let it go. I only need it to practice off-hand shooting, since my range only allows rifle chambered in pistol cartridges on 50yd range.
