What is different in Washington is the amount of public land versus private. There is only a certain amount people are willing to pay, if there are game to hunt. Right now that's dwindling in both private and public land.
Out here in western Washington, most of the private timber companies started charging for access. About $375 for 100,000 acres access, along with another 600 or so permitees.
Garmin instinct now for 13 months. Been great and I've used the GPS for storing places I went to when I wasn't packing the phone or GPS unit. Was using a GShock Rangeman, another good non GPS watch.
Waterproof treatment on bivy bags?
Does anyone know what waterproof treatment is used on the Tigoat Ptarmigan bivies? I'm not sure if I should retreat after use or if there is other care that is required. Neat , light little water resistant bag!
