    I agree Fearless is an awesome read and amazing story. Eric Blehm does a great job. Band of Brothers is hard to beat even if you have seen the miniseries. anything by Ambrose is excellent.

    Duplex vs. Bikini Frame

    If you plan to shoot a bow or do any scrambling with a pack on, the bikini frame is the way to go.

    Which do you prefer?

    I bought the Kuiu Attack pants and some of the ultra merino. All awesome stuff. I plan to add more pieces this year. You can't beat it, especially for the price. The ultra merino pants that zip off are the cats meow.

    hunting/gun dogs

    I have a yellow lab. He is 64lbs of solid muscle, not your typical 90lb lab. Gun dogs are a blast. Mine is 3 this fall. I use him to hunt dove, duck, geese and pheasant. He is also a great running and kayaking buddy.I do hunt tests and it is a lot of fun to extend the season activity.

    Buddy and I once forgot the pack saddle for the mule we hauled all the way from MO to CO. So we had a mule to pony along all week with no load just having a good old time. He was an aggregating mule and it was even worse when he was fresh and not working. He caused us more problems that week...

    Thanks for the heads up. I ordered one. I have been wanting to try a floorless shelter but couldn't convince myself to spend the $$ to try it out. For that price I can always use it for float trips etc. if it doesn't work for me hunting.

    I went with the bikini/ nomad combo. I know I probably would be happy with the Exo but the longer stays and options on the bikini sold me. Expensive but I know I will be happy. Plus if I decide to sell it the resale on the Kifaru packs is crazy. It's almost like a rental program if you buy one...
