    WTB Merino wool base layers

I have a large grey Black Ovis merino 1/4 zip hoodie that I am thinking about selling. The fit is tight though. Also if you don’t care about camo I would check out these: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1017395123 Best value merino base layers out there.

anyone still use a beam scale?

A beam scale is nice to have around to double check loads. I don’t trust those cheap digital scales.

    .223/AR Bullets

Berrys shot about a 4-5 moa group out of my AR, but they are super cheap good for mag dumps and screwing around with steel. If you want a little bit more accurate I’d go for the hornady 55 gr soft points they could shoot around 1 moa with a good load work up, and you could use them for varmint...

6.5 PRC - Browning HC or Bergara Wilderness Ridge

I just bought the Bergara Wilderness Ridge in .300 win mag. The fit and finish is very good. The stock is stiff and tacky, but not too tacky. The cerakote is very nice. The muzzle break works very good. The recoil was less than a 30-06. I can’t really speak to the accuracy yet as I have only...

    GoHunt getting into mapping

I would have to agree. If you only hunt your home state and have no intention of subscribing to goHUNT for draw odds you will find this mapping system will be too over priced compared to GE/ OnX. If you were on the fence about goHUNT this will allow you to save money by canceling OnX and...

OK - Sheep Hunting Gear List

I too would try and get some new boots. Danner pronghorns are not made for steep ground. I’ve heard of a lot of ankle injury’s from guys wearing pronghorns. My own pronghorns had all the padding on the insole bunch up from spending to much time on steep ground and became very uncomfortable.

I like my marsupial gear harness. I have never noticed it under my pack. Their new model looks really nice.

    GoHunt getting into mapping

I tried it out and I liked it a lot. It seems to have some nice feature upgrades over onX. OnX is better to look at, but I’m sure goHUNT will get there with time. As for price I don’t get why people are calling goHUNT way more expensive than onX? If you hunt multiple western states it will cost...

    Bullet for bison

I have had bad luck using the ELD-X on elk at close range. I think it just doesn’t have the weight retention needed for killing tough game. I think it’s more of a medium to long range deer bullet.

    E-scouting blacktail S. Oregon

Blacktail prefer edge habitats. Try to look for areas with clear cuts that aren't too fresh. The best clearcuts are at least 4 years old, so some of the feed has grown back. You have to understand the local timber companies access rules to avoid trespassing, rules are usually posted at gates...

    Idaho Unit 31 Rifle

I drew the unit 31 Rifle Bull tag that runs October 15-November 8. I have never hunted Idaho before and was wondering if anyone had any insight to the quality of bulls found in the unit, and any elk behavior when the get pressure/ weather? I am planning on going the last week of November to...
