    Minnesota here

Last time I was in Texas it snowed and all the freeways turned to glare ice. I was driving from Louisiana to DFW to catch a plane. A truck with Colorado tags and Me were the only two vehicles moving.

Downsizing to one rifle. Question is, which one.

I should also have said I've used a 300 WBY for out west, Moose and Bears for the last 30 years so recoil isn't anything I worry about.

    Snow plow recommendations?

Just throw a few extra washers on top of the plow shoes for gravel driveways. Problem solved.

Downsizing to one rifle. Question is, which one.

I hunt Northern Minnesota Where we have BIG Black bears. I'll no longer be going out west. Just Black bear, moose and whitetails out to about 300 yards max. I've gotten rid of my short actions but I'm debating over keeping an 06 or my 8x57 or maybe stepping it up a notch to a 35 Whelen. Opinions?

    Snow plow recommendations?

I agree completely. I don't even like running a skidsteer with heat let alone sitting on an atv in wet snow. With age comes wisdom.

    Snow plow recommendations?

I prefer Western but as someone else said you'll need a beefier alternator and a 2nd battery if you're smart. I've plowed commercially for over 30 years and every time I get a new truck it gets a new plow. These are my daily drivers all year the plow doesn't hurt them and ups the resale.
