Im finding this to generally be the case everywhere. I hunt in Arkansas and numbers in the NF and WMAs are down, but yet there were 3 deer standing in my front yard feeding last night in the middle of my neighborhood. Deer have, for a myriad of reasons, migrated into more urban and civilized...
Wish Arkansas would follow suit. We just upped our OoS tag prices last year, but they are still way too cheap. And judging by the amount of Texas tags I see on our public land, they could triple the new price.
During muzzleloader season Ive stopped at the gas station and bought some non lubricated condoms. Works great, I just had to explain to my wife why there was a condom wrapper in the floorboard of my truck
Man there was a small independent guy making some nice camera arms at a decent price. Wish I could remember/find his website now. I had a tab opened and saved on my old phone, but it just died and I lost it. Now I cant remember his website name, but I was very interested in getting one. They...
Late to this thread, but I have a question.
Just bought a Tikka in 6.5 CM. Not the cartridge I wanted but the deal was too good to pass up. I preferred 308 or 270. I know for 308 the bolt face will be the same….but what about the 270? If I wanted to rechamber to 270 would I have to do anything...
Oh it will increase earnings alright. There will be a plethora of tags sold in Arkansas to guys that usually only hunt modern gun, that will now buy a muzzleloader tag and spend 3x the amount of money than if they had just bought a modern gun tag (In Arkansas you can buy a modern gun tag or you...
Its complete horse $h*t. I live in Arkansas and this will be our first year with it. We already have a 3 week season of modern gun with minimal restrictions. Add to that special youth seasons, antlerless modern gun hunts on private land, and the Christmas hunt, and we have basically a full month...
I typically use Rayovac too and have done well with them. My Tactacams lasted all year with them last year. Just looking to see if there are any users of cheaper batteries on trail cams specifically, rather than just going off an online review where the user has them in their Playstation...
Absolutely.
I read an investment money guide by Andrew Tobias and he said "a penny saved is worth TWO pennies earned." Essentially, to earn a penny, you have to earn another one for the government too. But if you save a penny, thats untaxed and yours to keep.
So needless to say Im as tight as...
Guess that would be a good thing to put in the OP, huh?
I have some Tacatacam XB and X pros. 2 of each. Then I have some cheap TASCO cameras from walmart which are actually pretty decent cameras. They get good battery life on Rayovacs, so Im not really worried about those.
More concerened...
I am running more cams than I usually do this year as I got permission to hunt a new piece of property and need some intel.
Unfortunately for my wallet, I found out the wife is preggo, so Im trying to cut dollars where I can.
I dont like the idea of using cheap batteries in my cameras, but...
I see your point. Unfortunately I dont have a ton of meat in the freezers yet due to having two kids recently and not being able to. We do keep a large amount of non-perishables on hand, but I just want to do more I guess. Id love to get some chickens but I dont have much room for them. Just...
