    I use Fusion 62gr when I hunt in the timber for this reason. Also have handloaded Gold Dots with the same performance.

    Federal Fusion 62gr and 62gr Gold Dots haven’t caused excessive meat loss for me. I’ve killed quite a few deer with them now.

    I've shot a few whitetails with the 120 GMX, but never had any damage like that. Most were small holes in and out. Did you hit shoulder?
