I've enjoyed reading what's been posted so far. Had a great fall, killed a cow elk in Wyoming, now back home getting ready for deer season. Things looked great, until my dad took a turn for the worst. Spent the last two weeks in ICU, still a long way to go.
I know it's been said many times, but...
I wish for Tikka and Sako to start selling the same barrels in the US that are standard in Europe. Not everything in the US has to be oversized...little stubby barrels make us happy too...

Sitka has been on sale (25-45%) off almost everywhere. I suspect retailers are struggling to sell it, and Sitka won't give them a break so they can move excess inventory. I took a Quick Look, but prices would have to come down another 30% before I bite.

Sweated our balls off for three days in Wyoming on a cow hunt. Saw seven bulls the first two days, no cows...
Finally tagged out on day three with 10-minutes of shooting light left. Buddy and I got a double, memorable hunt and the freezer is full!

Four years ago it was 90+ degrees, it was awful, but we survived. Two years ago it was mid-70's and much easier to hunt. It's looking like it will be in the mid-70's low 80's, hoping to monitor some water holes.
It's definitely a freezer filling hunt, but it's a lot of fun, and a nice break...
I've recently become a big fan of Celsius. I'm a no additive, black coffee drinker, the thicker the better. Celsius is my pre-workout, just tired in the afternoon drink. So far so good. I'm started buying it by the case now, so the addiction is real. [emoji4]

Hard to believe the season is here already. Heading to NE Wyoming for a cow elk hunt starting next Sunday. Third time out hunting cow elk, always a blast. Ready to fill the freezer up again!

Thanks for the info so far. I have a diesel ram 2500 with a cap that's my main towing vehicle. Been seeing lower prices on the flat front trailers as I look, think most new trailers are be going with the v-nose.
Flat fronts are at least $1000 less (used).

I'm in the market for a car hauling size enclosed trailer to take out west. The biggest decision I need to make first is flat front versus v-front. Have you pulled both types, and is there a big difference? Thanks.

Getting old sucks, and as my vision declines, I now wear tri-focals. Anyone have some tips for lining up in the scope consistently? Did you have specific shooting glasses made? Looking for some advise as my scope vision/accuracy has been slipping.

I worked construction with my uncle. Every time someone had trouble lining things up he would ask "would it be easier to find the hole if it had hair around it?"

USAPL has a decent app that gives you several options and is easy to customize. It cost @ $32/month. I'm 54 and a competitive powerlifter, it's all I use know.
