    338 Lapua Improved recoil

Just got this rifle, it came with 300 grain Hornadys loaded up with 94 grns of 7828sc at 2950fps. Gun weighs 9.3 pounds with 3 rounds in it ready to hunt. I also have a 338 Snipetac so I am no stranger to heavy recoiling guns but this thing is brutal to shoot. My question is would going down in...

    Issues with hiring a plumber

Owning a business definitely isn’t for everyone but I wouldn’t have it any other way after working for someone for 10 years I make plenty of time for hunting guns and other hobbies that’s the beauty of it as you make more money and can a lot of times make your own schedule.

    New Rifle-First Groups-Not Good

One thing I always do that you might try is I always test reloads or ammo on sandbags. I always zero my gun once I find the load on my Bipods because they will shoot different on them and I am shooting off bipods in the field but I find that I can always shoot a little bit better off of...

    Issues with hiring a plumber

So why didn’t you do it yourself then? I understand that does seem high and I have never charge somebody that much if it was truly only 20 minutes worth of work but I change my own oil on my vehicles maintenance them do whatever I can do and I don’t understand why some people would call to fix...

    Issues with hiring a plumber

No excuse for leaving a mess but the price sounds reasonable to fair. I bill out at $200 an hour with apprentice. Most people have no clue how expensive it is to operate. Plumbers have some of the highest insurance it is very unforgiving, when there is a leak there’s costly damage. It’s not too...

    Bronco?

My wife hasone, it is the Sasquatch that has the 35 inch tires and lockers and they are a very impressive rig I will have to say, I hope maybe in two or three years I can transition it into my hunting vehicle. The fuel mileage isn’t the greatest but they have way more power than I thought they...

Crispi Briksdal vs Nevada Legend GTX

So I got the Briksdal pro gtx last week and took them for about a half mile walk and they were the most miserable pair of boots I’ve ever worn. I know they will break in and get somewhat better but it wasn’t worth the risk so I sent them back for the proven Nevadas that I have always had...

tracking dogs for wounded bears question

Yes there are dogs that can track that but a lot of them will not use them to track a wounded bear… From what you described you did everything right bears are the toughest animal I have encountered and you hunt them long enough you will lose one no matter how ethical you are.

Crispi Briksdal vs Nevada Legend GTX

I have had the Nevada legends for a couple years but was wanting to try the briksdal, are these going to be noticeably stiffer? I didn’t like the Lowa boots for that reason of being too stiff.

    Nightforce choices

The Atacrs are amazing scopes but I wanted something lighter for my new pack rifle so I ordered a NX8 4-32, can’t wait to compare them. Hopefully not disappointed, I’ll report back.

    Which 7mm Bullet?

Yes they do tend to chew up meat a little more but the animals don’t get away, it’s a trade off.

    Which 7mm Bullet?

Did you have a bad experience with Bergers? I’ve had great performance with them, I shoot 195s in a 28 Nosler. ELDXs have also been great.
