    New rifle recommendations

Snag a seekins element in 6.5 PRC and you’ll be golden. Very dependent on budget as well.

    Beating a dead horse....

If I’m getting dedicated western hunting binos I’d personally go with 12x. In that price range I like the leupold McKenzie or alpine better then the lower end vortex personally. Sometimes you can snag a good deal on some used mavens too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m 24, no degree yet, 1 semester from an associates. I’ve done sales and construction mostly. Mid to high 100s would be nice after working up to it eventually. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ya I know getting hours in is the biggest thing and it’s a grind the first few years. I’ve got an uncle who flies life flight and it was definitely a grind to get his hours but he has a great job now and loves it. Based on my research it seems like there’s a decent need for both types of pilots...

Is my 30-06 all I need?

If you’re comfortable with your 06 stick with it. It’s more then enough to take game at 600 as long as you hit the right spot. Just practice and know your rifle and you’ll do just fine with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Careers

I’ve been thinking about construction management a bit. Helicopter pilot, airline pilot, Cop. For a long time I wanted to coach college football (I’ve been playing in college, just had to end that due to an elbow surgery), I also decided I wanted to be able to hunt more and coaching doesn’t lend...

    Careers

I’m at a bit of a crossroads right now. I’ve been feeling like it’s time to really commit to a career path. I’d like to be able to hunt quite a bit and make decent money as well. What are people doing, any recommendations or opinions would be great.

    Headed to SHOT.

I wonder if the new triggers would be compatible with the x bolt 1? I do like the adjustability, wish they were a tad lighter though. My xbolt has the adjustable comb that’s just synthetic with screws so it’s still 6 1/4 lbs. how did the action feel on the xbolt 2 vs the original x bolt...

    Optics for 7 PRC

Leupold mk 5 is a great scope. Can’t go wrong with the swaros. My scope of choice would be the march F 2.5-25x52. It’s great glass, turrets track perfectly, and it’s very light for a FFP with the amount of elevation travel it has. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Prefits would be awesome. It would be nice to be able to do builds easier in the future. I’ll have to check out that trigger, mine is good, breaks at 2.25 lbs. I got lucky with it though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Headed to SHOT.

It looks great. I think with some of the xbolt 2 models they’re pricing them way above their price point. Like the McMillan carbon xbolt 2 at 4k. Go buy a custom for that. Or build the xbolt 2 McMillan for half that. I’m excited to see them up close soon though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    First big gear purchase?

Mine was a browning x bolt western hunter. Followed by my binos and harness. Then it spiraled out of control shortly after that.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
