Okee dokee....so I guess are you saying that the USA is a socialist country?
I'm not smart enough to figure it out....but I am dumb enough to live in Idaho so I got that going for me.
He's probably gonna circle around to saying that non-residents deserve the same tag allocations as residents because like 1% of their tax money goes to Federal Lands.
Ok, but put the shoe on the other foot....
Are we supposed to feel bad for non residents because they don't want to deal with living somewhere that the hunting is actually good?
I'm not an expert by any means but I personally would be concerned.
So many DEF horror stories out there...had a couple myself until I deleted it.
I'd have a hard time buying a diesel for a daily driver/around town/short trips rig unless I planned to get rid of it before the warranty was up.
Off topic, but you sure it's a write off?
My understanding with those Auctions has always been since you are getting something/merchandise in return that it's not a "donation" and can't be written off.
Just curious.
Dang, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
Wonder where they were guiding at?
How'd you like to be the client who was on those hunts and see this in the news?
Oh no, the boom was well into full swing. That's why we left. We lived West of "Boise proper" for the last 7 years we were there, in that time the drive time to Downtown Boise went from 25 minutes to 45 minutes due to building houses as quickly as possible and completely ignoring roads...
Makes me wonder if anyone in here complaining about Mule Deer numbers lives in Avimor or Harris Ranch?
Those 2 developments alone have killed more Mule Deer than hunters will in a decade.
So they are pressured less? Isn't that the goal? Isn't that why they set a season for it to begin with?
Maybe I'm a knucklehead but my thoughts were that if NR had to pay, less of them would come to shed hunt = less pressure on the animals.
Also, I cannot believe their are folks on here who...
You make valid points.
My opinion is just that if someone doesn't want that tag, why not just let it be one more that lives to help bolster the population a little, we all know they could use some help for the most part.
Nobody NEEDS to shoot 2 elk or 2 deer or 2 whatever a year, nobody is...
What ya'll are ignoring when you keep bringing up that you fund Federal Land is that all hunting doesn't happen on Federal Lands.... in North Idaho as an example, a HUGE percentage of it happens on Private Timber lands.
Ya'll saying you deserve equal hunting opportunity because you pay taxes for Federal Land should be thankful that residents are paying taxes to keep the State Highways & Country Roads open so you have access. It'd be damn hard to hunt without the roads that residents pay for.
Slightly off topic but I don't think buying 2nd tags should be an option for anyone whether that's Res or Non Res.... our game populations aren't exactly killing it, we don't need folks shooting multiple Elk or Deer in a year.
