I think I may have asked my question wrong. I really like where my trigger is at. My concern is that it's going to lead to a malfunction of the gun. I decided to tighten it down to 1.5 lbs. I have repeatedly dropped it on the butt, cycled upside down, done everything I can think of to get it to...
I dropped a new after market trigger spring in my Tikka t3x. So far it has performed perfect. It doesn't fire with the drop test, always resets when bolt is worked. But I picked up a wheeler trigger gauge and it's reading 1.25 pounds. Is this too light for safety? Like I said it's working...

You are both probably right, I was just hoping the first 2 groups "didn't count" as they were the first 6/7 shots fired out of the gun. It just seems significant to me that it would shoot 6 shots nowhere near each other, then finish with 6 shots touching. Obviously I just need to shoot it more...
I just got a new Tikka t3x in 6.5 creedmoor. I took one sight in shot, and moved the reticle. I then shot 2 3 shot groups that were each about 1.5-1.7 inches. After those 2 groups, I shot 2 more 3 shot groups that were all touching. My question is, did you notice a break in period with your...
That was exactly my thinking. It's also very fast and easy to acquire your target. I keep both eyes open and stare at my target as I bring my scope up into my line of sight. I can see the bright triangle as I do this. I know a lot of people do this anyway, but I think it's easier with a bright...
In my experience, it will not get lost in bright situations. It is so blindingly bright that I have to turn the brightness to almost all the way off during the day. This is the green one though, not amber.
Gotcha. I've heard pretty bad things about all of those guns besides the weatherby, haven't heard anything good or bad about that one. If you could swing a bit more for a seekins I think those are really nice.
Browning x bolt is a good factory rifle in that price range. But it almost seems as if you care more about how a rifle looks than how it performs? If that's the case it's really just subjective.
There was a poll on here a while back asking people of they have ever lost zero with their leupold scope. Well over 50% of people had at least 1 leupold fail to hold zero. I don't know how you ignore a statistic like that and continue to buy them. I guess if you really baby your equipment.
I don't think there's a bad choice. I own both and like them equally. I do think that a Tikka with an aftermarket stock on it would be just an amazing gun though, mine is just factory.
