Looking at the Tetra web site the cheapest pair are $1149. I'm using the ESP analog which retail for $900. That's a decent difference if you dont need custom hearing aid tuning which I think requires the more advanced models. I've had my ESPs for 10+ years and they are one of the best things...

Yeah if you have 15 lbs on me I don't see how a large would work unless you don't want to use your arms.

I think that Universal Binding isnt doing anyone any favors. Get a proper XC boot and XC binding and youll be able to control the ski. That binding just keeps em attached to your feet - doesnt look like it offers much control ...

I would also add that if buying skis I would absolutely buy them used without hesitation. Buy the boots new and try them on. If you need any help with ski length for your height/weight LMK.

Just received the large - very likely needs to go back for an XL! It may be big enough for layers but too tight across the back shoulders to mount and swing a shotgun. It would be large enough to wear as a jacket over a fleece/sweater but probably not large enough as an "over layer" over...

Do you mind me asking how big it is on you? What do you typically wear under it? I've seen people our size on this forum return a large for a medium as they thought the large was too big. Maybe it depends on number of layers underneath?
