    Most comfortable rubber boots

Lacrosse Aerohead uninsulated. Shin protection and the most durable lacrosse Ive had. I wear my Lacrosse boots 8+hrs a day for the last 13 years. Can usually get 6-9 months per pair. The Alpha Burly's seem to wear holes in the heel faster than other types but are also pretty good for walking.

How many bows do you own?

Not enough, I enjoy waiting a few years after a flagship is released and getting it on the cheap to see how it performs. Nothing has changed enough in the last ten years to make me want new prices. Stable of a PSE Evolve and Mathews Drenalin. Drenalin still hammers at 60-80 as well as any bow...

    Tikka T3/T3x Aftermarket Stock Pics

My Altitude bolted right on and showed a increase in accuracy of about half to 3/4. Meaning in factory stock would shoot around a inch at 100 and with the new stock all groups were around .5-.75 MOA tested out to 350. Probably just a function of a better fitting stock, but still very happy.

    Bed mattresses at home

I've been on two different Saatva beds and they are great. Inlaws had one and we got one after that. Great sleep

    2022 Bows

Was surprised to see that the 2022 carbon hoyts still weigh more than my Drenalin that still is in the rotation. I thought carbon meant really light.

    Waypoint Clones

Thanks for the reply. My Tikka Superlite in 6.5CM will handle the business for now. Would like to get a 6.5PRC turnkey setup at some point. Waypoint would check all the boxes for me. I almost always buy used guns, but a used 6.5PRC would have to be inspected pretty carefully. Hopefully can...

Rifle Slung Over Shoulder or Attached to Pack

Gunbearer is super comfortable and quick to get the gun out. Its fairly cheap so give it a try.

Jocko Wilink releasing 100% US Clothing line.

Wonder how Sitka feels after giving him all that hunting gear. I don't own any of his stuff, but I'm sure it will be high quality and not cheap.

    I gots the Covid.

Good luck to all of you. I’ve had it or I haven’t, never tested positive with rapid, but have felt lousy a couple of times. Been working every day throughout this pandemic and have noticed those who watch the news constantly are the ones who are most afraid. Get the jab or don’t, be nice and...

Things to avoid in a new bow

Hoffman does a good job. They will get you set up and their prices are reasonable on the things I have compared. Their shop is small so forget about it on a Saturday. Go during the week if possible and you will have a great experience. They will have a decent used inventory.

    Hearing protection

I've worn the Howard Leight for 3-4 hrs at a time hunting and it was great. Kept my ears warm and made squirrels sound like elephants so never got bored. Some say add the gel cups for comfort but luckily I thought they were good enough as is.

    Best Rings Under $100?

with that setup ring cost is the last concern. Just buy whats the best and finish the build off proper. Note I dont own any custom actions or nightforce scopes. I have Hawkins that have done everything I want and seem to have a good reputation

Moving out East (VA or WV) and I need a pep talk…

Martinsburg wouldn't be awful. Close to Peacemaker Shooting Range which is world class. Good fishing can be had. Hunting is just a different beast than out west. I've taken the view that I would rather go west every one or two years than try to chase a hunting spot in VA. Only access I've...

    Waypoint Clones

The Waypoint 2020 is really intriguing me. Could be the huge marketing push right now, but it checks a lot of boxes for me. Factory 6.5PRC, carbon stock and barrel, R700 stock inlet. Would be sweet if Tikka came out with something similar. Sig Cross has kind of been a crap shoot. Maybe they...

Using a BDC in changing weather

You can also download StrelokPro, input good ballistic info and then it will show your scopes BDC with your actual drops with environmental factored in. Works great when I have tried it. StrelokPro has almost every reticle I’ve heard of available. Can even print it out and tape to the stock.

Suggest a 6.5 Creedmoor Hunting Bullet

My test size of 1 would recommend the 127LRX. It makes the smaller caliber have better penetration. Some thought should be given to different shot placement and there can be many arguments about it. It went from entering in the lower jaw head on and exiting out the back on a 3 pt mule deer...

Talk Me Out Of a 6mm Creedmoor

Can’t, if they had them when I bought my 243 and reloading gear, I would have just bought the 6CM. Couldn’t get 243 with 105 AMAX in factory ammo. 6CM fixed that problem with the 103s and other high BC bullets.

    Frame pack for short guy

5’6” 180 here. Ran a MR metcalf last two times I went to Montana. No overnight stuff and it squished down nicely and isn’t heavy. I would look used in the classifieds and try some stuff out. I found mine for 300 if I’m remembering correctly. Can always sell it usually what you paid for it.
