Total speculation but:
Guessing that maybe 2% of scope consumers truly care
Much of that 2% of consumers only started to care about 2 years ago
Costs money to design and build a new test
Takes more than a year ($$$) to validate the test even if they build it
If existing scope's fail, will they...
Sorry OP I didn't fully answer your questions. If linked, the kestral will do all the dope calcs that your binos range inside 800yards and past 800 yards.
I can't comment on how accurate the "built in" Applied Ballistics is, because I never used it
yes that's how my 3k's worked. I doubt they changed that on the 6k's.
At the price of the 6k's I would recommend getting the fury 5000's anyway though.
Hit range button and get a valid range
Binos spit range value to the kestral via Bluetooth
Kestral runs ballistics and spits dope back to binos via Bluetooth
I had the sig 3ks and that is how it worked. You could watch the yardage change on your kestral by shooting ranges with the binos.

That is unnecessary. I get that some people are ocd about it, and that's fine. But to share some numbers for others who might think the "perpendicular to 3rd axis" is a big deal:
My general guess is that anyone can eyeball it to within 3°
3° off of perpendicular to 3rd axis comes out to an...
It is completely unnecessary to have two different levels read the same, and manufacturers know that.
So they don't make them read the same. To do so would be extremely difficult.
