Both of mine were like that. But I'm a free float guy for damn near 35 years. So I opened up the channel slightly on both my T3 and my CTR. Enough to slide 2 index cards all the way to the action. Both drive tacks but never shot them stock form so have nothing to compare.
I don't know but want to check. I'm definitely on the hotter side but that's where My tikka liked it. All were good, but opened up at 49.5. They have 49.2 (max) according to the chart should be 3100 plus. Tikka barrels are usually slower but I figured I'd have to be close to that. At 49.5 I...
Been there and done that. Not a "true" custom action but did have a SS Rem 700 action blue printed, shilen select match barrel, custom trigger, custom stock, bedded the whole show. Barrel threaded 5/8-24 for whatever my choosing. Guy offered me way more than I had in it so i sold it. Picked...
Shouldn't change 1 lick. This is 130 ttsx in my Tikka 308 after about 5 firings of the same load. I do anneal every time. 49g varget, CCI200, 130ttsx loaded at 2.825"
Also, Barnes shoot better at .050" and more off the lands in my gun. Never shot well chasing the lands. If I remember...
I use the Lee trimmer as well for my 308's but use it with the Wood ball handle. Mine has fluctuated say from 2.005 to 2.003. And in all cases, the issue was something having to do with the head of the brass. Either it was slightly bent from ejection or imperfections that didn't allow it to...
If you did purchase it from Cameraland, Doug is a great guy to deal with. I have bought several high-end optics from him and even shipped back a Schmidt bender Klassic that had an issue. He usually pops up on the site from time to time. I would reach out to him with your issues if it did...
Get a Trijicon Credo 4-16x50 if your dead set on keeping the KRG. I put my CTR on a diet and with the credo, it's pretty damn close to my T3 lite 308 with schmidt bender Polar. The polar is a heavy optic but for my purpose with it, it works.

Credo - 25oz
Deprime (using a stand-alone separate die to punch primers so I don't get my sizing die dirty)

An easy first glace check is the A-bolt II has a different bolt shroud. If the bolt shroud is round its an original abolt, if its flat on 3 sides, its an abolt II. Mine is a 1994 Abolt II Medallion 7mag with the Boss system. Browning also offered that if you sent your Abolt II bolt to them...
Yeah had an elk hunt lined up last year and have some good hiking boots. Just wasn't sure about the brush pants or chaps. I'll bring all my chokes for gun.
Yep similar to south louisiana duck hunting. They hit the marsh and haul tail. I see your in SD, what is the weather like in early October?
I have been surprised with a Pheasant hunt to West River Haven in Gregory in early Oct of this year. At 51, I've hunted all sort of game but never pheasant. Long time duck, deer and dove hunter so bird shooting won't be an issue other than being startled when they jump up. My plan is to Bring my...
Check trigger spring tension and / or for any damage. The tikka trigger is very easy to mess with. If the spring is in question, you can pick one up for about $10.
