Those are great CHINESE bags. If they were DULUTH PACK bags, they were made in Duluth, Mn. I still have my Dad's Duluth Pack from 1926, been repaired twice from bear damage.......is used every year, a lot.
Interesting. I have always hung by the rear legs as I believe that hanging by the neck is disrespectful to the animal whose life you have taken.

I am a MInnesotan and am furtunate to have a number Montanans as close friends. They are Farmers, Ranchers, Teachers, Nurses, A Grain Elevetor Manager and an Attorney. I have known all of them for over 35 years. What they all have in common is that they are all friends and they grew up east of...
I believe that bullet shape is a large factor into how these bullets work at the target. For many years we have shot the Barnes 150gr FP in a .30-30 and the performance is more than impressive on large Whitetails. WE are also shoulder shooters.
I shoot to break the shoulders. I hunt the bush on foot and most all shots are at a moving animal. Mostly use a 30-06 / 180 Accubond @ 2820fps though many have been shot with a .30-30 and 150 Barnes. Animals are in the 175 # dressed and up range.
I handload 180 Accubonds in my .30-06 for whitetails and they are very good. I am a shoulder shooter and they almost always break both shoulders on a 240# Whitetail.
I have used a VX6HD 1-6 for a bit and it is an exceptional scope. I have been a Swarovski Habicht Fixed power guy for many years and it is an equal to that. I still use a fixed power for hunting big game.

I have been fortunate to hunt MT for over 30 years. Here's what I've learned....and it's very simple:
1) Good 8x Binoculars....8x because anything over is tough to keep still....not $1800 ones
2) Fixed 4x scope and use it to range with...I use the old Swarovski's...a variable can screw you up
4)...
New to this site and it looks great. Born, raised and now Semi Retired in Northern Mn after working worldwide. Look forward to working with you folks.

I have one of the Clinton approved Colt Target Match Hbars:
1) No visible markings of AR 15
2) No easily seen 5.56mm markings....must say 223. Barrel Bottom says 5.56mm.
3) 9 round magazine
4) non adjustable butt stock
Evidently this well thought out alteration saved thousands of lives...
