With the ever increasing price of a North American Sheep hunt, where are the best values internationally?

Looks like those are prices for booking directly to the outfitter.

With the ever increasing price of a North American Sheep hunt, where are the best values internationally?

So while looking up these hunts I also came across the following Goat/Capra hunts and have listed them in comparison as these species are often hunted in the same terrain as the sheep and often included in a combination hunt with the above. DIY Tahr & Chamois hunt in New Zealand, just the cost...

With the ever increasing price of a North American Sheep hunt, where are the best values internationally?

I'm not sure what the posted success rates are for most of these. However, from what I've been hearing, the mid-asian hunts are practically 100%, given the sheer number of game you see on the hunt. I've been reading accounts in Tajikistan where hunters are seeing hundreds, if not thousands of...

With the ever increasing price of a North American Sheep hunt, where are the best values internationally?

So I've been browsing several hunts on Bookyourhunt.com and have included a handful of them below for reference to compare some domestic vs international options(all prices in USD). Dall's Sheep in Alaska, $40,000. Rocky Mountain Bighorn in British Columbia, $65,000. Desert Bighorn in Mexico...

What's up with .338 Win Mag?

A Ruger M77 Guide Gun in .338 WinMag is my primary deer, bear and moose hunting rifle. I love the rifle and love this cartridge. I haven't yet experimented with reloading so my experience is limited to factory ammo offerings. I really like the Norma Oryx 230gr load but have also tried the...

With the ever increasing price of a North American Sheep hunt, where are the best values internationally?

I think I'm going to book a goat hunt first to dabble into mountain hunting. The "poor" man's sheep. Found a Canadian hunt for $9,500 USD.

That's too bad for us, great for him though. I wonder if there are many other Outfitters in NWT/Yukon that offer similar prices? I haven't seen any.

With the ever increasing price of a North American Sheep hunt, where are the best values internationally?

Yeah all these "risky" countries are likely where the best deals are to be had today. I'll likely stick with what id consider safe destinations Spain, Austria, New Zealand etc.

With the ever increasing price of a North American Sheep hunt, where are the best values internationally?

Nice, $36,000 USD or $49,000.CDN sounds like a downright deal for a sheep hunt in 2025. About half of the other prices I've been seeing online.

What should be my next cartridge?

My 357 is Lever (Henry) alongside my 45-70 (Marlin). I was debating back and forth for a while about adding a third lever in 30-30 but I just don't see what it does better than the 45-70 at lever action hunting distances.

With the ever increasing price of a North American Sheep hunt, where are the best values internationally?

Yeah mainly refering to a stone sheep hunt although the cheapest sheep hunt I'm seeing on BookYourHunt.com is $88,000 for a rocky mountain bighorn. Are you finding better prices than that in NWT?

With the ever increasing price of a North American Sheep hunt, where are the best values internationally?

I'm sure I'm not the only one here that has had a case of sticker shock looking at 2024 guided Sheep hunt prices (6 figures here in Canada). I'm starting to look into international options that present a higher degree of value for a sheep hunt. Who here has hunted sheep outside of North...

What should be my next cartridge?

My next bolt-action will be focused on a lightweight mountain rifle in a suitable flat shooting, sheep/goat caliber.

What should be my next cartridge?

I'm definitely lacking in the bottom end offerings, the quick whiz-bang cartridges. Would that be considered a varmint cartridge?

What should be my next cartridge?

Always looking to add something new that fills a niche that I don't already have covered in terms of hunting and target shooting. I have a decent range of cartridges (listed below), what's a new cartridge that will fill one of my current gaps? 1. 12ga 2. .22 LR 3. 9mm 4. .357mag/.38spl 5...

    Future of Gunsmiths in Canada

The liberal government will be a figment of our imagination come Fall 2025. We will hopefully get a decade or so reprieve under a CPC government to reverse much of the damage that has been done.

    Recommended Alberta Elk Outfitter?

I'm looking to do a guided Alberta Elk hunt Fall 2025 with my Father-In-Law and was hoping to get some recommendations for a guide/outfitter. So far I've only really seen the handful that advertise on bookyourhunt.com and prices seem to be all over the place. Who has used an Alberta...
