    Cleaning rimfires

    After each range session...or hunting excursion --- I'll at least swab the chamber with an oil laden Q-Tip; because of possible sweat residue being on the cartridges when I load them.

    AK vs AR

    Imho...AR actions have a tendency to freeze the bolt shut more than AK's ever do. And I never had to use the "mortar method" on any of my AKM's --- But my AR's...yes.

    Custom Hearing Protection

    I use a pair of Howard Leights camo hearing muffs for hunting. The Walker amplified muffs don't seem to amplify sound as much as the Leights do. Downside: Amplified hearing muffs make it hard to determine where the sound is coming from.
