    Broadhead Flight

Add another arrow/broadhead and confirm both are high and right. Then finish tuning your bow. Quit wasting your time shooting paper.

    Build me a hunting bow

For that budget I would strongly suggest buying used, so you have money left over for new strings, arrows, and nice accessories.

    Turkey leg recipe?

Skinned legs - go in pressure cooker then season to your liking. Bar-bq sandwich’s or tacos is what I usually do because it’s easy. Turkeys prefer to be fried in hot oil and not ground up. Thats sounds like a waste to me. We had fried heart and gizzards tonight. The good stuff is still soaking.

Smaller Peep or shorter draw length?

Sounds like your peep isn’t set right. I have to change my sight housing to shoot 1/4” peep vs 3/16”. Feel free to share pics of your anchor point/bow at full draw. That will help determine if your draw length is close or not.

    Will Vehicle Prices Ever Decrease?

I have been eyeballing one that has sat on a dealer lot for over a year $52k still, no price drop.

    Will Vehicle Prices Ever Decrease?

I get a report every month that includes the estimated trade-in value for our nice truck. Price has dropped $20k in the last 6 months. It’s currently about $10k-15k higher than pre-covid prices (exactly what I paid for it). Hopefully we see those prices again, but who knows. What has me...

    SS34 Timing conundrum

I have had to return custom strings/cables multiple times. Always measure them before taking old ones off now. My last set was a fuzz too long and had this exact same issue.

What distance do y’all broadhead tune

first and foremost- confirm ata, timing, and center shot. Usually check center shot out to 40-50 with fp. Start at 40 with BH use yokes/shim if . Move to 50 dial in with rest, then same for 60. Should only be minor rest adjustments at 50/60. Somewhere between 60-80 (depending on bow/arrow) bh...

What distance do y’all broadhead tune

first and foremost- confirm ata, timing, and center shot. Usually check center shot out to 40-50 with fp. Start at 40 with BH use yokes/shim if it’s way off. Move to 50 dial in with rest, then same for 60. Should only be minor rest adjustments at 50/60. Somewhere between 60-80 (depending on...

    New Hornady bullet

    Thats really slow for 53s! 18” gas .223 i see over 3300fps. FYI-I have had good luck with cfe223 in 22-250. I haven’t loaded 53s yet…. My 55s are usually 3650-3700. 50s are fuzz over 4k.

Largest 22 cal bullet in a 1:10 Twist?

recoil is pretty non existent on a supressed 22-250. This should give you a good idea for what bullets you can stabilize. What is your goal here actual hunting or just shooting? https://www.accurateshooter.com/cartridge-guides/22-250/

    Leica 2800.com: Kestrel or no?

with the kestrel you are using a different ballistic solver. Someone with more experience will need to chime in (I don’t have a kestrel) and compare the two. Either way you still have to confirm your drops and adjust app for them to be accurate.

    Leica 2800.com: Kestrel or no?

You don’t have to pair it, but you can! It has its own ballistics solver and you load your profile with an app on your phone.

Quit shooting paper and spend your time actually tuning! Paper gets you started…

    Ballistic Rangefinder recommendation?

There are some good comparisons and reviews on here if you search. I went with Leica based on reported poor cold weather performance on other models.

    Unfamiliar Territory

For base camps in new units, I choose a location easily accessible to start with (good main road or trailhead). That is closest to the most spots I chose to hunt (hub to get to various spots). I just use sat images to find them and usually pick them last once I have hunting spots picked out...

    Wind drift

Wind drift isn’t a huge concern for me. My bow getting pushed around or my tree moving around has a much greater effect on my shooting ability vs my arrow drifting.

    Suppressor wait times

3 ordered this month from scheels, no trust. 2 days, 6 days, and 8 days for approval. Stupid fast!

    Why am I always tired?

welcome to middle age! You are working harder than 99.9% of people is my guess. I can’t say I know any 35+ person who can set shoes all day, work out hard, and not be wore out. My only advice is starting eating/taking care of yourself like an athlete if you want to maintain that lifestyle (not...

Applied for individual on two new ones this week. One was approved in under 48 hours. I will update when the second one is approved. Huge improvement over my first 18 month wait time with paper forms!
