    Suppressor wait times

I have a friend that got a denial notification about 2 weeks ago. Scheels sent in the wrong RPQ form that did not have his signature on it. 9 months of waiting down the drain. It happens more frequently than you would think.

No they can not remake one with the same serial number. The serialized part is the suppressor, like the action in a bolt rifle is the only part that is of concern to the ATF. In other words, if the tube that is serial numbered is damaged beyond repair, that suppressor is scrap. Baffle strikes...

    Suppressor wait times

I had one purchased 11/22/21 and got the call 11/23/22. 366 days. Turns out the suppressor was defective, and after 2 returns to the manufacturer, they are purchasing the POS back from me.

    Chamber crooked?

.002 doesn't sound like much unless you compare it to the height of one land. A .300/.308 barrel land height is .004 per side. It makes it stick out like a sore thumb. Looks like the OP's picture.

    The 22 creedmoor thread

I've seen comments about hang fires, and outright misfires, several times with the SRP brass. I've tested both of my .22 CM rifles down to as low as -25 below. Using Lapua 6 CM SRP brass, CCI 450's and RL 26. We had a cold snap here in SW Montana right before Christmas where it got down to...

    Chamber crooked?

I've chambered barrels for 30 years and I can tell you one thing for certain. That barrel was not dialed in correctly before it was chambered. If the barrel is dialed in, and the tail stock is net coaxial with the lathe spindle, the throat will be concentric with the chamber being oversize...

Yes it will deposit a carbon ring. Just like any other powder, but possibly a bit sooner. Tuning these rifles is full of give and take. I will certainly take the velocity, and superb accuracy that the RL-26 gives me. And I'll give an extra 2 minutes of time to make sure I get it out of there...

    The 22 creedmoor thread

4350 is a good powder in the .264 bore and the Creedmoor case. The 6.5 bore has about 35 to 40% more bore volume than the .224 barrel (depending on actual bore diameter .218 vs. .219, and land / groove geometry). That larger bore will handle the quicker upstroke of the pressure curve better...

    The 22 creedmoor thread

My first post here. I think you will find that your suspicion that the 4350 is a little too fast for the .22 CM, is right on the money. I have 2 of them and have tested a bunch of different powders, and came to the conclusion that 4350 would pressure out before you could get to the upper...
