I think that is a great lineup. I second everyone else about getting a puffy. I am not an expert when it comes to puffy's but I found this video from Mindful Hunter very helpful. I ended up purchasing a Sitka Kelvin Aerolite on sale after watching. I'll keep my Nano Puff for daily use now.
Jacket has never been worn for a hunt, just at camp a few days this spring for Turkey. Decided to go another direction after losing some weight and this now being a bit too large.
Color: cipher

It is good hunting. I’m a resident and nearly exclusive hunt public land for whitetails in the southern half of the state. If you find yourself here this summer send me a PM.
Does anyone have this and the FL Origin? Both seem to be fleece midlayer with the Origin being a bit more durable and the Challis being more windproof. Can anyone provide their experience? Thanks!
Happy to hear you were in on some action though! I myself have an archery elk tag but I'm hunting with two others who have muzzy elk tags. Good luck on your WY hunt!
Appreciate all the feedback so far. I ended up purchasing a Sitka Ambient jacket (40% right now!!) to throw in the mix. I'm thinking for upper layers I go with Wick crew, kiln 1/4 zip, Ambient Jacket, Nano Puff, and Dew Point. All 3 of those jackets are super packable.
Thanks man, good tips! I have all other gear dialed in (Exo Pack, good sleep system, good boots, Garmin Inreach, etc.) and am enjoying the training intensity when I have something like this ahead of me. Cannot wait!
You have a good point about the soft shell. I am considering ditching that...
Hey folks, I have been reading threads similar to this one and it has been very beneficial. I would like to get some input on my specific system for an upcoming mid-September (9/12-9/23) hunt I have in CO at 10k+ feet. I likely have all the necessary pieces but am struggling to figure out what I...
I realize this is very naive but it is something I am nervous about. I drew my first archery elk tag for CO and will be joining my dad and his buddies who have a lot of experience. Any resources you know of that will compare legal vs non legal bulls just to get my eyes/mind trained? I know this...
Congrats man! I've been doing MTN Tough programming since Jan and feel amazing. I'd recommend it if you're looking for training that is easy to follow.
I drew my first tag! Group of 4 us will be heading to the Gunnison Basin with 2 bear tags, 1 muzzy cow tag, and an archery either sex tag (me)... wow, cannot wait!
