I understand, the initial learning curve of individual state laws, draws, etc. is steep. My advice: get a GoHunt Insider membership and read every "Application Strategy" for all of the states and species that interest you. You can do a general hunt in Montana next year if you buy a preference...
Hey folks,
Long time hunter, soon to be first time elk hunter. My dad, buddy, and I drew archery elk tags in CO (3 PP unit) this year. I’m fully prepared to shoot the first legal animal I get an opportunity at if I’m fortunate to get said opportunity. I’d like to see some good examples of rag...
I have 2 set ups but typically run the saddle set up. I do occasionally leave the hang on and sticks in places I feel I will hunt again (especially during rutcation). I use a Mystery Ranch Treehouse (the bigger one) to packing my systems in. I did just get an Exo MTN Gear K4 for western hunting...

CONGRATS on this awesome tag. Just looked at GoHunt it...

I can see a scenario where NRs lose the gumption to want to hunt Iowa without their beloved trail cameras. Maybe wishful thinking...
I started MTNTOUGH Preseason Prep 2.0 earlier this month and feel great. It's probably the toughest programming I have ever done. Sticking with it until the truck heads west on 9/11!
Hey y'all, just wanted to say thanks for all of the input! Since this initial post I snagged a few Sitka pieces on fire sales: Ambient Jacket and Kelvin Aerolite. I'll take both of those pieces in addition to the Dew Point in the pack. September is getting close...
