Best Introductory Camera for Field Photography

Canon g5x mark ii. Super lightweight for backpack hutning trips. Great little point n shoot that packs a punch. Great first step beyond iphone. Like anything tho.. it s a skill. After a year or two of using it, i finally picked up a couple books on photography and feel much better with the skill...

What food do y’all carry on the field?

An easy quick lunch I have done for awhile is.. granola, dried raisins and banana chips, scoop or two of vanilla whey protein, and some nuts. Can get this to close to 700 cal. And i like to just add water. Quick , healthy, and just adding some cold water saves me from packing around my stove...

    Area Biologist Questions?

And side note imo.. "general" information is better than no information if you are coming from out of state. So always worth calling around I think

    Area Biologist Questions?

I will get calls back. I bullshitted with a dude from CO for a good bit and he told me to call him back whenever to talk about hunting or more about the area (unfortunately did not draw the tag tho). I think it just comes down to the type of person who is on the other end of the line lol. Best...

    Backpack Training

I agree it is so valuable to be well rounded when it comes to fitness. Also agree with what your saying with the lighter loads. If you can consistenlty get in good training hikes and work your way up to 50-60 pounds.. youll survive the 90-100lb packout. It hurts for everyone anyway lol The...

    Backpack Training

I agree man I like it! When I know I need to get organized i find myself pulling up an Excel month calendar and fill that thing out and print it. There is always just something about writing things down to give u more activation energy to get it done every day

    Best Podcast series for beginners.

This is such a good tip lol. I did a solo scouting trip for a week in colorado last August. Although i absolutely love the peace and quiet , eating my dehydrated meal at night for dinner with an old Gritty Bowmen podcast episode was nice to listen to and keep me motivated
