I intentionally waited til the ticker ran out so I could resist and "miss" this sale. Just checked and they reset the damn ticker with another day those bastards they're trying to wear me down. 🤣
I'm gonna take one for the team and order this pic rail/peep combo and attempt to slap it on a new Accura MR-X. I won't have the front globe yet unfortunately as I won't be buying that until it's needed, but I'll try it with the stock front sight which I suspect the problem is simply height related.
Thank you. I know it's a rookie question and that helps a lot. That's a big deal.... Looking at BH209 for $80/8oz plus hazmat shipping it was pretty daunting, but stuff like this really makes a difference. I planned to use BH209 eventually assuming I draw a Western tag that requires loose...
Oh sorry I thought you provided that shot. Specifically to these match bullets (TMK's, M's), through testing, many have suggested that 1800 fps is the minimum velocity for reliable performance. Manufacturers don't typically publish that info for match bullets as they're not intended for hunting...
Seems odd that the other Mallard materialized out of nowhere. If he mislabeled it then somebody else has your bird, if not then I smell a rat.
I think you're hosed, just a bad situation. I'd get the deposit back and be sure other sportsmen are aware of the risks via Google reviews and such...
No worries man, free bump for my thread haha.
TLDR: Tikka is lighter but I'd have no qualms picking up the Bergara and taking it on a hunt any time.
So the Sierra just really fits me well, the cheek riser is perfect and the stock fits glove-like. Rifle shoots great, smooth cycling and haven't...
I appreciate all the help from everyone, I don't know why I got stuck with the CVA's but I guess my mind just understood them and looking for simple startup though I'm sure I'll develop preferences later. I ended up stretching for the Accura for $485 with iron sights. I'll shoot pellets for this...
Mine is suppressed, yes, which can sometimes increase speed a little bit. I've not Chrono'd it unsuppressed. It wouldn't be much though guessing maybe 20-30 fps just based on reading other people's reports.
If that shop can cut and crown then they can thread it, I wouldn't worry too much...
I think what we'll see is a bigger trade in and consignment market. I plan to sell one or two of mine after January and no doubt they'll sell but average Joe probably isn't gonna deal with the hassle. Trade ins will be easy though.
Lol you're not wrong. I have the box and everything so pics in the box look much nicer. The Bergara is for sale also, actually really like that rifle but I bought a Tikka shortly afterwards and it's been my go-to ever since.
