    Which Western Precision Sight?

Update: Would have been better off with a regular Pic rail. The peep is in the way trying to mount the scope as well as the space it uses in the rear is needed to move the scope back for proper eye relief. I moved the rear ring forward on the scope and it's right at the end of range for proper...

    Which Western Precision Sight?

OK I got the Ace in the Hole pic rail and the matching front globe sight. Pic rail fits great, peep can be adjusted to stock height but can run a little higher also. Low end on both is pretty close, angle due to the way they're sitting in the pics throws it off a bit but it's close. Front globe...

Talk me out of a Ruger American Gen 2 6 creedmoor

Wife has the Gen2 16" in 6 ARC and loves it. I removed the stock spacer and added the High cheek riser and just got the 4 round flush Duramag for it. Solid rifle for her. Bolt isn't smooth but it works well enough. Shoots the 108 M's very well.

Great video worth watching before getting an elk (or any animal) on the ground.

I keep large chunks of neck and roast them. All that connective tissue and tendon in the neck melts out into pure yumminess. For deer if I can get them out whole bone-in neck cross sections are an absolute delicacy.

Hey man, your tip about the 90 degree for the hind lower leg joint was gold, and "going to war" hit home so hard lmao. Everything else is the same except I keep the lower leg on until quarter is bagged. I can't wait to try that 90 cut next time and see if my wars can be won a little easier... I...

6mm /.243 hunting success on Big Game

I like your style! I think at super close range I'd choose the core-lokt out of those two options. I also think you'd be fine with either of them.

Speed vs Weight For Hunting, Which Do You Prefer?

I'd do the 156, but I shot my cow a few weeks ago with a 6.5 and MV of 2535 so clearly I care not for speed lol. edit: To clarify it wasn't a Berger it was a 147 M.

Great video worth watching before getting an elk (or any animal) on the ground.

I use the guthook on my KOA Whitetail Hunter. Everybody laughs and asks why I have a guthook til they see me zip the cuts in 30 seconds and start skinning. Then they show up with a knife that has a gut hook the next trip.

That's a great vid. I've done quite a few but always watch to see how others do it. I like Cliff Grey's stuff all around. Way less hair IME. I do all my fur cuts first before doing any skinning so there's no meat exposed. I tried the back method once, never doing that again. I unzip the legs...

Suppressors on a bolt action SBR Question (now that the $200 tax is going away)

I can't say with those cartridges but I had an 11.5" 5.56 that was just God awful suppressed nowhere near hearing safe. I replaced that with a 14.5" and it's so much better now. Seems like 12" is pretty short to get a good powder burn and I'd bet it's pretty nasty blast even with a Can. 55gr in...

    Duck Blind Suggestions

I don't like the blinds because the footprint is so big and I like to move around depending on wind direction and cover and such. I've taken some palm fronds and sometimes they're useful sometimes they get piled up along the walk somewhere. We like to use local vegetation to build a tiny teepee...

Sounds stupid but I always take one or two of the best pics and put them on Instagram. Going back over the years is a cool collage of memories when I scroll through it.

UM Tikka rings are not recommended for cartridges larger than 7mm PRC?

What's funny is nobody would've known about the issue if they didn't stick their neck out to try to mitigate it for future customers and publish the new torque spec and add the disclaimer. Probably not a good idea to punish a company for seeing a problem and trying to fix it. They could've just...

UM Tikka rings are not recommended for cartridges larger than 7mm PRC?

Nothing wrong with my UM Tikka rings but I'd like to be able to swap my scope around easily with other non-Tikka rifles so I'm probably gonna go this route. Only thing stopping me is the durn thing shoots so dang well, taken a few light falls, 2500 mile trips, and never had to touch the scope...

    Elk Encouragement

I'm not trying to come across as rude, but you've been buying points for 6 years and haven't stepped foot in the mountains yet something's up. Nobody should need encouragement to go, you either want to go or you don't want to go. You may need to ask yourself why you want to go and what you're...
