    When to give info

Funny because you really never know. I had a guy eagerly telling me where a really good buck was, showing me on his phone map and everything. I went the opposite direction because I didn't trust that guy. I often wonder if there was a nice buck waiting for me to show up and was disappointed.

    Mini Bug Out alternative

Buddy carries the Bugout and I carry the Walmart knock-off, put them next to eachother and they're very similar. For $10 it may be worth going from Mini to regular sized.

Thx for the report, always interesting to see stuff like this.

    Air Lock Industries Suppressor

Definitely tacky, makes it nice for hang-tightening the can on the barrel. I've not experienced them collecting dust or materials though. Did you get yours really hot at the range and maybe melt the material? Mine have gotten pretty hot but not smoking or anything. Big fan of them, fit nice and...

Dumb question about varying speed/pressure with same weight projectiles

So I still haven't started reloading yet, trying to educate myself and just soak in data. I"m looking at the Hodgdon data right now for 6mm ARC and see two 95gr loads that have quite a different starting weight grains to pressure ratio. Looking at the two loads it would appear the Barnes is...

    Antelope Load Work Up

Everybody covered how easy they are to kill, think less about killing and more about shooting well in high winds over distance. Seems to always be windy where they are. Good high BC with some velocity that kills well enough.

    Wounded Buck

Agree with brisket or leg meat shot, betting not fatal.

    When to give info

I don't have any big secrets but I help all the time if people are friendly and them killing an animal won't be immediately detrimental to my interests, as in I have the same tag or plan to hunt the area the following year. Not a big deal though not to provide info, most hunters go in expecting...

    Real world ELDM Experience Please

That PRC is pretty fast. I shoot them out of a slow CM short barrel and don't see terribly excessive damage on two cow Elk I've shot with them. You may consider trying the X if you want less damage. I shot a whitetail with an X and just got a half dollar hole straight through.

Better Scope Option for Elk Hunting

OP I think the Huron or Ascent is gonna be your best bet but if patient you could pickup a used Credo or one of those fugly SWFA's lol. Either way practice will be key and understand our West your dope will change a little bit. I've had a lot of different Leupold, Vortex, a Sig, and a few others...

    Camp cpap power

This should be good for a few days, for longer a 100w solar panel for it would extend it possibly indefinitely depending on conditions. Bonus being it can power a lot of other stuff too. I run an Iceco cooler and pellet grill off of it sometimes and obviously phones and headlamps and such...

why do people pack out hooves

I used to just bring them home and throw them in the yard whole. My old girl, yellow Lab, would tear through it and start working down the end and then the other dog the lab mix would grab it when she got up and go after it. I'm gonna have to do something different now, we lost my girl over the...
