    That is one thing I do enjoy about TX. I can make a 6 hour trip to Port Aransas and back up right to the water and start surf fishing. And my wife is happy as can be just laying on the beach.

    I would keep the Leupolds over the Nikons. I have 3 Leupolds and have no issues with them. I would definitely keep both the vx3 and the vxl you like.

    This probably explains why Savage has the current Ultralight on clearance for $998. I have an ultralight also and it's not the action that bothers me, it's the stock. I guess this is there way of addressing the known unfavorableness of the stock.

    FMJ's are pretty heavy so most carbon arrows will be lighter. I think Gold Tip Hunters would be a good place to start looking.
