I'm going to piggyback on this thread just because there doesn't need to be another WY deer thread. My hunting partner and I have 4 points and have hunted the same two areas for the last 15 years off and on. This is the most points we have collectively had and so we want to try something new...
We have a 22 and 23 Chevy diesel - owned countless diesels over the years. Love both of these trucks. The 10 speed is a game changer. Chevy by far has the best ride and best factory fuel mileage.
Use that corn and hunt it two days later. Red or green light - I prefer green. They won't recognize or at worst they will freeze up. We shoot pigs every day. Every. Single. Day.
We will be offering hog hunts later this spring and summer. We do limited hunts and cater to different groups depending on what you want to do. We actually prefer bow hunters as we have a lot of clean timber to spot and stalk. We have a nice lodge nearly completed on nearly 8000 acres where...
Coyotes get blamed for bad management for both wildlife and for cattle. Had a rancher tell me yesterday that he lost a newborn calf to "a coyote". I kept my mouth shut but thought I bet he won't cull that sorry 1200 lb cow that can't fend off a 30 lb yote. That calf was dead long before the...
I'm walking around with my little boys, and it was worth it to just bring them. They can't get enough of it. Wish we had a comparable western show like this in Texas.
Seeing if this storm is affecting any of you guys attending? We flew in early to do park city with the family and thankful for that. Makes the trip cost efficient.
I am looking to find the best shotgun for the oldest of my three boys. Mainly to shoot birds and squirrels, especially duck hunting. We currently have a .410 single shot and a light franchi 20 gauge and both kick way too much for him. Looking for your expert opinions. I'm willing to pay for...
This was our first Western Hunt as a full family. Mom missed a chance at a giant due to the boys following behind us in anticipation as we stalked in on the target buck. After 4 miles with the boys in 20 degree weather one day and dealing with foggy conditions the next, we decided to quit being...
I rarely get on here to post gear feedback, but thought this was worthy. I own multiple Maven optics, but have never had to send in a warranty claim. We also run some other high end and mid-range glass. This might be lengthy, but worth the read.
My 12x50 maven binos get used every day. They...
