I’ve had a 2-64 hex screw and red loctite in my BCA for a few hundred rounds now. No signs of leakage or movement. My assumption is the remainder of the port is filled with copper at this point.
I tapped it, but on another barrel I just screwed the screw in without threading and it bit really...
Quick update, material can be taken off the back of mag box to get to 2.5” oal in Jefferson mag box.
I’m going to make that modification now. Flat file and a few minutes.
Going forward to get anything past 2.5 will require the mods in my previous post.
First picture is a 6x45/95TMK touching lands in Satern 6x45 barrel with what I assume is SAAMI spec chamber. OAL is 2.558” +-.002”(crappy calipers). The dummy is sitting on top of a Jefferson mag box. You can see it sits just past front of mag box material at that length. Below it I have...
I’ll also probably get a throating tool to add freebore to my handi rifle - might as well take the free(cheap) case capacity in the rifle that doesn’t have a mag limitation!
Good stuff!
Tacking on a little extra info:
Vmax next to 6x45 case @ 2.45” - which fits in any of the Howa Mini aftermarket bottom metals with 25-30thou to spare. Pretty much optimally loaded.
The only measurement I’ve taken of a Saami 6x45 chamber with the vmax had it at the lands at...
I thought the emphasis on timed (rushed shots) in practice was because it’s an efficient way to replicate pressure. Fast target acquisition and faster proficiency seem like side effects of the real gains - operating under pressure.
I reckon we could also set our targets next to our trucks…
For anyone considering going down same path:
Deal is legit. Rifle shipped immediately - no problems there - buy with confidence.
But the .350 legend action inlet IS DIFFERENT than the .223 and the 6ARC. I cannot confirm action inlet of a Grendel or Bushmaster or 7.62x39. How is it...
Have you shot 20-30 at that distance?
One “dropping out” could be you, neck tension consistency due to brass hardness variability, powder charge precision, a butterfly flapped its wings, etc.
If you shot 30, and they all grouped but one or two fell out, I think you might be on to something...
I’ve killed 50+ deer with a bow, dozens of pigs, mule deer, and one elk. Another couple dozens of deer and pigs with guns. Vast majority on public land. I’ve shot probably 50,000+ arrows since I was ten. I would say that I am sufficiently experienced with a bow. I don’t really get rattled...
I ran 10 rounds though my 6ARC with the gas port plugged, and was able to cycle with standard bcg and charging handle.
Standard loads not loaded down.
Just haven’t messed with it since because it’s my gasser.
I think the solo is the issue with the 6ARC. Just don’t have the time to continue...
I’m pretty sure you’re going to be limited to barrels they offer.
I can’t see an aftermarket barrel maker tooling up to run barrels with integral lugs for one unpopular(relatively speaking) model of gun.
The only path to a 6mm that isn’t the factory creed offering would be to have a company...

I bought one of these to build a 6x45. I’ll have a spare 350L barrel when I spin it off if anyone’s interested.
But man, Just thought the price point might be attractive for what most people might use the 350L for. Dirt cheap.
