Help me cut some pack weight!

I’ve owned two Nemo tensors. First went flat on the first night I used it. So I got a replacement from REI. It went flat on the 5th night I used it. Two other family members/friends have had tensors get leaks within 10 days of use. These are all being used with care to avoid puncturing them...

Anyone ever find well beaten elk trails on south facing slopes and zero elk droppings?

How much moisture does this area get throughout the summer? In drier areas you can have a good trail that’s created over many years due to less use

    Elk Rifle

+1 for spend $500 on ammo for the 6.5 PRC, so you become a great shot and confident in it. Then save the $2500 for another tag. A new rifle won’t make you a better shot, but more practice will. New gear isn’t going to make you a better hunter, but more tags will.

"Spur the moment" Black Bear for a new guy?

Idaho has reduced price bear tags in units where they are above objective. This helps you pick a unit that has a good amount of bears if you’re short on time.

Question for the Spring Bear hunters

If you want to kill a big bear late April/ early May. If you want to kill any bear mid May to the end of the season. Montana FWP has true harvest numbers that show the majority of bears are killed from mid May on.

    OnX vs Everything Else

OnX, I’m considering dropping GoHunt. I only use GoHunt for draw odds. Their draw odds seem to funnel everyone into the same units, and I think their predictive draw odds will only amplify this. Also their unit descriptions and typical trophy sizes aren’t updated that often.

Have you found N555 to be temp sensitive? Vihtavouri doesn’t make it easy to find that info

What’s the temp sensitivity on the 165? I get good groups and speeds with N560 but it’s pretty temp sensitive.
