I had my 1st mpj fused at the end of April in 2024. 1 month zero weight bearing. 1 month in a walking boot, which meant I was released at the end of June. There was residual swelling for a few more weeks but really no pain after starting normal walking. I elk hunted like normal in September...
I haven’t seen this. I’ve also built my own shop and learned how to setup and tune myself so my data is limited to a couple of trips to a couple of shops over the last 5 years.
Who knows - maybe margins are thin, your shops don’t have enough volume, etc and they charge for tech time to stay...
Baker Archery Products. I had an issue with their bow vise and sent an email. Within an hour the owner contacted me, got my info and had a replacement part shipped.
Looks like you have made your decision but I will pile on anyways. I went Dall sheep hunting at 32 years old. I could barely afford it but I wanted to get my dad to go and the clock was ticking. I went Stone sheep hunting at 39 years old (lots cheaper then compared to now) and it still...

JoeB - My timeline was Surgery April 30th. Zero weight bearing for about 30 days. I was able to go back into the office 4 or 5 days after the surgery using a leg cart / scooter and was able to drive as the procedure was on my left foot and I drive an automatic transmission. Then a walking...
I had a similar vintage set of those 10x42 SLC’s as my first good set of binocs and regret selling them very badly. I still have two sets of those vintage of slc 8x30’s and love them. I also have el swarovisions. If they are in good shape, that’s an extremely good price.
Well now that you ask - I’ve just heard it many times, on the internet, so it must be true, haha…. I was also told that by the outfitter when I hunted there as they wished they could guide hunters due to bear problems. Hopefully someone will chime in here and correct me if I’m giving you bad info.
