I never hunted Colorado. But I’ve gone skiing in summit county a few times. I saw mulies right off the side of the highway. Dozens on numerous occasions in different spots. One guy had his 35mm camera taking pictures of one group right along side the interstate highway. Naturally that won’t...
When I saw E Scouting I thought it was some new computer app. or gadgetry. Maybe it’s one of those bikes I see occasionally. Technology or not , everyone have safe outings and fun.

I get all this technology can be useful in preventing wasted time finding game. On the other hand, isn’t that what hunting is? What’s next , sending out drones to find activity? I’m not trying to mock any one so please don’t misunderstand my comment. I’m just saying.
Me too. The exploration of new spots is always interesting and quite frankly less demanding. As I age it fits. Besides, I hunt mostly to support hunting and encourage new hunters to come out . You’d guys can get the majority of game. I’ll keep waiting for trophies and I’ll continue to pitch in...
Get there earlier and hit different areas. In your travels, when encountering hunters, waitresses, park rangers, locals, be friendly, spend time having friendly talks. You’d be surprised how many fishing holes and game activities have been offered to me for just being friendly and sincere to...
You are the best resource. Meaning practice, practice, practice! Keep it simple, get arrows, studs ,a target, finger tabs , forearm guard and shoot the hell out of it. Start close and walk back to 35 yards. Occasionally,When you consistently hit at 35 go to 55 once in a while to build more...
If you will be shooting 400-500 max you can keep it simple with a 2nd focal plane(rear) scope. 3-9 or 4-10. Maybe a bigger range like
4-14 . I avoid FFP and parallax scopes. Leupold,Vortex,Bushell,Primary,Zeiss all good. BDC reticle work fine . If you want to go beyond , you’ll want to consider...
It Don’t bother me when others have brakes. I use plugs and muffs. Besides, we are shooting, a practice that is known for loud and concussive bangs. Although it’s probably why my ears ain’t perfect 😂
.223 is my vote. Also, I unexpectedly had a chance to spend time with a break barrel air rifle. While asked to clean out iguanas on a construction site, I found that I had an immense amount of fun. It prompted me to shoot my 22lr too. Also a lot of fun. For the little stuff .223 and down.
Same here. I double up ear protection at bench. Plugs on a string around my neck in the field- if there’s time to get them in. Otherwise I grit and bear it.
Write letters to your congressmen regularly- state and federal- and vote both. NRA probably still the best. GOA, 2A something or other. I’ll post them.
Enjoy ! I’ve always loved the 325. I own a couple since they came out. Wisconsin cartridge, Selway. There’s a few boutique ammo places I’ve found that make 325. I’ve used Double Tap- going to try Hendershots
(them and Nosler the most expensive ). I reload now, but still try boutique and factory...
