You think thats how it works with genetics? That a 4x4 was never a 2x2 , even at 1.5 years old? You may want to rethink that one somewhat. But, you can still shoot whatever you want to shoot of course. -

Dont waste them on a GEN tag. Not unless you have access to some private land in a GEN area. I am telling you from experience, that tag is nothing like it was even as recently as 2018. On public. -

I wasn't hunting the same unicorn area you were in. Only place in WY without beetle kill deadfall is the plains on BLM or scrub oak country. Maybe above treeline too. At least areas that are huntable without having 10+ points for elk anyway. -

What's a good public land whitetail state in the midwest?
Nebraska whitetail population has taken a severe beatdown from EHD in the last 12 years. At least 3 outbreaks has absolutely hammered the population in some parts of the state. NW Nebraska area was hands down my favorite place to archery hunt big bucks. Now i wont even think twice about going...- KHNC

Issue with new SEVR heads?
Double lung hit on a big cow at 54yds. Didnt get a pass thru. Appeared to have stopped at the hide on exit. No exit hole and barely any exterior blood to follow. 1.5 Hybrid 125Gr -

That would be ideal actually. I have elk hunted 24 years. Havent used an outfitter in quite a few years for elk. Except for that one time in Montana :ROFLMAO: -
