Granted not a Moose, but a large bull elk. The bull I killed this year was 3.25 miles deep as the crow flies in the bottom of a drainage. I arrowed him around around 16:05, found him at 16:30. Hiked back up the mountain to grab my pack and such. Got back to him around 17:30. It took me 2.5-3 hrs...
I use a two-pin verticle Boonie, and a three-pin horizontal Prüf. The Boonie is .019 and the Prüf is .019, .019 and .010 all green. I prefer the horizontal pins.
To me, $600/year for a bow is peanuts for a hobby. If you look at a snowmobile, ride for 600-800 miles (on a good year) and take $4000-10000 hit depending on the mods I add.
I've used the Blood Eagles and they are quality heads. If you don't get a pass through with their design you have some issues you need to get sorted. They fly well but the only complaint that a person could have is that they are a pretty small cut size.
