What's in the reservoirs that's bites through the ice? I've done more hunting than fishing in wyoming though I enjoy both and am not opposed to ice fishing. We rarely get the chance here it's just small ponds for pan fishwhen we do.
I recognize some of those terms but not qualified to interpret. Played that game just over year ago. I dont envy anyone going for shoulder surgery.
I was in the same boat as 7mm-08...things weren't quite as bad as anticipated once they went in. Still a miserable few months after.
The advice of...
Unfortunately that's the tax situation everywhere...literally everywhere. It's self inflicted for the most part as people just keep paying the ridiculous prices/rates like they have no choice. Admittedly, some don't, but the majority could easily wait awhile.
I've said it for couple years...
I appreciate the input...but you may be a bit out of touch with the real estate markets in either state...yes, there are properties that fit those price points in WY and MT...mainly in Jackson, Bozeman, Missoula and Kalispell...but there is ALOT in between options 1 and 3 in the rest of both...
For sure, credit cards arent going away.
In most cases your likely right. I'd love to see that change, but fact is CC's are convenient...and convenience trumps all in this country these days.
I was more pointing out that we are all basically paying a 3-5% convenience tax on everything we buy...
So I'm gonna go against the grain here and piss on the parade a bit....
NOTHING is free...All you guys going on about points and earn back must have never owned/run a small business and see how much those fees cost merchants every month.
No business "absorbs" those processing fees just for you...
I'm not extremely up on this subject...are you talking about Sheehy or an episode of Yellowstone I haven't seen yet?
Either way, no Navy seal(couldn't pass a hearing test to get in the service...tried 3 times)...and no family money or ranch with bunch of elk and deer to whine about so not sure...
Its a slippery slope. I get the stigma, but I see the property owner side too. It's a legitimate business and investment strategy....but it does require some regulation to avoid conflicts especially in higher demand areas. I stand by my blown out of proportion overall comment though. At under...
This is very motivational and well said...although I'll be honest... right at 40 I'm feeling a fair bit off from peak mentally and physically...working on that too.
The time thing weighs heavy for sure. I feel like we are close...I definitely don't want to chalk up the west to the what if...
I'm aware...I think it's vastly blown out of proportion personally.
STR properties make up barely over 1% of housing units in the state...most of which are in areas near the parks...Jackson and Cody being prime examples...Both have passed legislation on the matter. In Jackson my understanding...
I'm not asking for a street address...closest town on the map would do...Im assuming northwest region due to mentioning grizz.
Not to discount your experiences at all...but people are nosey assholes everywhere... and in my experience is its far worse between the Mississippi and east coast than...
Care to disclose general area and why you originally were so certain and what the biggest of the "bunch of factors" that woukd keep you from ever living there were?
I've heard and read this "Billionaires pushing out the Millionaires" bit countless times last few years in various places online and first hand from residents on our travels in MT, WY and Idaho.
I'm sure there is truth to it in some places but this is the first time I've seen it applied to...
Lots of good input here... most of it comes down to just knowing your kids and figuring out what gets them going and what shuts them down...good things to know in many aspects of raising kids and something alot of parents these days fail at miserably.
From what I've read here, alot of folks...
TBD...was hoping to make a winter trip out to sheridan area to look at bit closer and get a small taste of winter weather but work and some unexpected health issues with parents has halted that plan till spring.
We did look at a few homes while in sheridan this fall. None really checked the...
California is a beautiful state in many areas just too many people crammed into it and WAY too many on the extreme left in the metro areas that control the politics. I'll pass on Cali...have some family there, that state does weird things to peoples minds in general.
Both of mine have killed their first deer at 7 and biggest bucks so far at age 10.
Our Rule was 7 to start shooting and can't shoot further than you can consistently group 3 shots inside 3" circle in preseason practice.
I love the Youth seasons before the general opener. Gives the kids a chance...
Shoot with what your gonna carry is always best practice...ask anyone running heavy hardcast through a Sig xten...I loved the feel and accuracy of that gun, but it wouldn't eat buffalo bore or Underwood HC loads remotely reliably, glad I bored one to try from a buddy before buying.
I put...
Not to derail...But how many of these heavy hardcast rds have you put through your P365?
I only ask because I went that route with Underwood stuff only to have cycling issues(in 3 separate P365 I own with different lots of ammo) only to be told by Underwood that despite the P365 being +P capable...
Bringing this back up as I'm wondering if there are any others using them... I've got some first light and sitka pants both are nice for open hiking in non brushy terrain, shed light water OK
...but my last 2 trips to wyoming in found myself far more comfortable in my Carhartt rugged flex work...
