There is literally Only a few FS roads that go in. A primary one in the north. One in the central and few acces points in the south. Unless you got private access. From there it's two feet and a heartbeat. Love the crazies
She can put in for tags...just look at the draw odds for deer and elk. Also, have her look at Carson and the AF Academy. They allowing hunting. I know Carson is pretty easy to hunt I think the Academy is lottery.
This is so true. I am not what I would call super Colorado fit but I get by. I have friends that run ultras and do all that but our normal is definitely taxing for people from other states, especially non western states. I took my dog for a walk on the mountain behind my house a few weeks ago...
To help you with this. If there is a famous 14er near where you plan to hunt. You can guarantee you will see everything mentioned above. In Duplicates most likely. 😂
Google Earth is your friend and enemy. Things that look possible on Google aren't likely in real life. One thing I see a lot of broken souls every year. Usually first time guys to Colorado learn our Mtns are big and high. And hunting isn't easy.
Oh...and if they bed in the morning in a spot...

Honestly I wouldn't want another pair anything like the timberline's. I got a pair about three weeks ago and they are horrible. Or anything from schnees mtn boots.
I've been doing my normal dog walks on the mountain behind my house here in Colorado and I'm so unimpressed with these boots...
Depending on where you live and what you have at your access you can do a lot of various things. I'm not a huge fan of all these fitness programs but they all have benefits. As long as your doing the other stuff. Good diet and recovery.
Some class based stuff at your local gym will help...
100%... I bought 400 acres in VA where they reintroduced the elk about 10 yrs ago with some family members. I feel like I may end up there. The hunting is way better and more plentiful..granted different. But you got variety and it's cheap! Definitely envious of your move. I can only hope...
Don't blame you for moving there. It's peaceful and beautiful. Plus you'll have more elk then we will in 10 yrs.
I'm glad you got family out here and there are parts of the Wyoming bill I'm ok with. I to would like transferable vouchers. My family has been in Wyoming over a 100yrs. Be...
I live in Denver I know we're not all whackos...but I also in know how this state works. I worked for the Gov office for 5 yrs...I'm not saying we don't need NR money. I'm saying if there was a state that could survive without it. It be Colorado. People would totally agree for a tax increase...
