I’ve had one on order since 7/21/24
I can stay on target at 14x at 100 yards with this setup probably 50% of the time. With as well as it shoots it’s going to make it difficult to switch when it finally shows up.
Y’all. This is almost too easy. 100 yards, 33 rounds. This is by far the most accurate gun I’ve ever owned. @Unknown Munitions and Ace did an excellent job on this prefit.
Loaded up 90 rounds of new 6um brass for fire forming and realized how much of a bottleneck trickling every load by hand is. On top of that I somehow managed to bump my beam scale twice up by a grain. Caved and bought an fx120i and AutoTrickler out of frustration. Hoping the juice is worth the...
She’s a shooter. Fire form loads with 108eldm’s and 60gr of 570 averaged 2768 with an sd of 28.9. 2 shots to get dialed in, then an 8 round group. Hoping 3200-3300 is gonna be doable, but FF loads are definitely slower than I expected. Was able to stay on target at 100 zoomed to 14x. Ace/unknown...
I’ve been drooling over the 6um since this thread was started, stoked that things have finally come together. If weather cooperates I’ll be shooting FF loads tomorrow, 108’s with 60gr of 570, loaded to tikka mag length.
Are they not currently producing railed tikka’s?
Last update from UM was a month ago today, there were 45 railed tikka orders left. My order date was 7/21/24. I keep expecting a call everyday, but if production is on hold till May/June I can stop holding my breath.
My brass came in today as well. Ordered a .272 bushing and 100 108 eldm's for fireforming. How fast do y'all think I can run those out of a 7.5t before I start to have issues? Will they hold together if I keep the spin rate under 310k?
I'm ready to pull the trigger on a new optic for my 6UM but am still undecided. Currently running a NF SHV SFP that has been great but am ready to try out FFP/mils. My biggest concern is usability of the reticle at low magnification. I hunt everything from dark, tight woods where 50 yards would...
My experience with suppressors and brakes are limited to my 6.5 creed. I was running a little bastard on it before my scythe. Perceived recoil is significantly less with the suppressor, I’m guessing because of how much less noise/concussion there is.
I’ll be running an 18” with a Scythe when brass gets here. Not too confident it’s going to stay together with all the failures being reported.
Would anyone be willing to let me borrow a go gauge? I’d pay for shipping to and from and some extra for letting me use it.
