I've got several pieces of Kryptek and have been mostly happy with them but won't be buying more any time soon. The pattern is great and I like the sizing but I'm sick and tired of every shirt and jacket being covered in zippers and Velcro.
I have an opportunity to buy Sitka at a big discount...
I think you nailed it! I just looked at them and the pockets along with the reinforced knees look the same.
I may try pair of I can find a decent deal on them. Thanks!

Is anyone else addicted to Alone the way I am? If you haven't seen the show you should check it out. For those of you watching this season, does anyone know what pants the contestants are wearing this year? Most of them appear to be wearing the same brand/model of pants.

I bought one in August for dove and early teal here in Texas. I've been impressed with every piece of Kryptek clothing I've purchased over the years but I think they missed the mark with this shirt.
The material is a little too heavy compared to other shirts of this type and the back vent is...
@IDHUNTER - I was drunk posting last night and got fooled by the Up to 50% Off banner on the EB email I got. I zeroed in on the 50% and totally missed the "Up to". My bad.
I would still expect them to sweeten the deal next weekend though...hopefully. I bought two pair in January at half...
Interesting question Muley. I've thought about it and apparently I don't have a "one size fits all" answer. The main reason I hunt is because I love being outside. I also love the art/discipline of making an accurate shot. In most cases the meat is at least third on the list of reasons that I'm...
The jeans I wear are usually 34" length but I needed to drop down to 32" with the guide pants. Waist size was almost spot on. These are my favorite pants now. Just ordered another 3 with the discount.

FNG from just west of Houston. Been lurking here for about a month and absolutely love this forum.
Google kept bringing me to Rokslide when I was looking for good hunting gear. I've always been irritated that hunting clothing/gear on the market was never as capable as my backpacking clothing...
Offshore drilling rig (at least when the price of oil is high). Working here in the GOM you're typically 2 week on 2 weeks off or 3 on 3 off. Working overseas your 28 days on 28 days off. All of our hunting seasons in Texas are pretty long so I don't miss out on much.

@Jeff Martin and gmajor,
I've been wearing the greens since I can remember. A staff member at REI recommended them to me years ago. Probably the best advice I've ever gotten from a retail employee.

Brian,
This isn't the topic I thought my first post would deal with but I strive to be an over achiever when it comes to taking care of my feet. I'm former Marine Corps infantry and have been hiking/backpacking/mountaineering for over 20 years so I know a little something about foot ailments...
