I have discussed it with many people in division and the technology Committee.
As I understand it, the division/committee is going to recommend to the board to basically adopt or allow NW muzzleloaders, allowing inlines so long as they are percussion caps, no 209’s etc.
I’m not exactly sure...
Quite a few more days in them, and it’s more disappointment.
I would give these boots a 15-20 degree warmth rating in low activity situations, ie decoy waterfowl hunting, ice fishing…..
At ten degrees in a layout blind, my feet were uncomfortably cold, and I really don’t get cold feet...
Update-
These boots suck 😂😂
I have 6 field days in them.
2 days in a layout blind field hunting waterfowl, 2 days of cold feet… and it hasn’t even been that cold (teens) I think in the hundreds of days I wore the original Beta Bunny, I think I got cold feet one time when it was -35.
2...
I feel bad as I told a few people, even mentioned it on a podcast that Utah rules would be very similar to Idaho regs, when I read the current rendition I was like woah what happened here.
I think allowing the NW style muzzleloader is a good move as many hunters would be able to convert their...
A little update- it seems something got changed between when this weapons definition first went through the RAC process and current rendition. I have reached out and it sounds like the UDWR is working on clarification.
This was out it was worded in RAC process two years ago in regards to...
I think most states are doing a pretty good job reaching out via social media, their web pages, etc.
It’s super easy to get involved, yet most hunters will spend their time complaining on social media or just complain to their buddies getting no where.
I’ve been to community meetings and...
That’s where my head is^^^ I agree with you
CVA is the breech plug with holes….
Traditions is the one etched out….
I believe knight is somewhat similar
I think they are going to have to clean up the language of “entirely visible” as I think one could argue CVA’s NW breech plug would in fact make cap entirely visible. Idaho I think uses the word “exposed”
Kind of subjective I think.
I’m actually very curious about this as well, when they were discussing this weapon type, the sentiment was as I remember to allow North West Model muzzleloaders as they have an exposed ignition source.
Reading “fully exposed” was not how I remember it, I’m going to try and get some...
I don’t have a pic of the guided hunter- but here is Chuck’s deer, 35” outside frame, 37” with Cheater (if I’m remembering correctly)
His bases are unreal…. 6”+
I think what he told me about the deer behavior blew me away too!
I guess I expected the deer to be very docile and almost ignore human presence out there. Very interesting and makes me re-think what I assume a lot of deer are reacting to on public land.
I think mostly he just wanted to enjoy the hunt with friends and not have the spotlight on him, his hunt and what they were finding, going to do, etc.
I guess soon after the draw results there was outfitters actively trying to find out who had the tag. I wished I would have dove into that a...
