    6.5 Grendel

I bought a Precision Firearms 6.5G with a Krieger 22" barrel. It shoots great, and does a nice job on pigs and deer.

    ALIF Back Surgery

I had a PLIF surgery at L4/L5 (2013), so a similar process. I was walking the day after the surgery. Walking was the bulk of my exercise for the first 2 months, then I started to get back on my bike (indoor trainer) at about 2-3 months. I was fully recovered by about 7 months and racing my...

    Gunwerks thoughts

I thought I would get a Gunwerks in 2020, but I talked to Travis at RBros. Glad I did, my RBros 7mm RM is the best gun I have purchased. I am sure you would be happy with a Gunwerks, but there are some very good options out there and you will not be losing any quality, just saving $$.

    Bowtech vs Pse

What is your draw length? FWIW - In 2019, I was looking to change bows from an Elite Ritual 33, and I tried Elite Ritual 35, Prime, Hoyt, Bowtech, and PSE. I heard great things about Bowtech, but at my draw length the Bowtech's draw cycle was terrible in the last few inches. There was a huge...

Precision Firearms Reviews - Custom AR15s

With PF matching the upper/lower and barrel, it's a very accurate rifle. I would say it is easily a sub .5 MOA gun. I tried the PF ammo with TTX Barnes 120 gr and Berger 130 gr and Hornady Black 123 g and SST 123 gr. The Berger 130 gr and Hornady options shoot well for me. Mark is a good guy...

Precision Firearms Reviews - Custom AR15s

Mark does quality work. I had him make a 6.5 Grendel for me with a 22" Krieger barrel. It took a while to complete the build, but I was able to get exactly what I wanted.

    Glock 29 or 40?

Pretty much my experience as well. I keep an eye on web sites, and I have been fortunate to find ammo every so often.

    Boulder County on fire

I just returned to Boulder today from being in TX for several weeks. Luckily, I am a few miles NW of the fires, but feel for all affected.

    2021 Gear Performance

No surprise, Swarovski NL 12x42 were amazing. Used for deer and hog hunting. Just amazing! A little surprise to me was the Sniper Hog Light 66LRX light. Originally, I picked up a Fenix TK26R that has red/green light options, but it could not focus a beam. The red/green filters simply had a...

    Help me choose a 7mm..

My 300 WM is a Weatherby Vanguard with a custom muzzle brake. I start to notice the recoil after approximately 20-30 shots at the range. My RBros 7mm RM has an APA Little Bastard muzzle brake and is lighter than the 300 WM, but I don't notice the recoil. I believe the design of the rifle with...

Your Emotional Intelligence or Handling Stress Tips/ Habits

My goto is the Lord's Prayer. I don't consider myself a religious person, but I memorized this when I was a kid and it helps calm my mind down when it's racing at times. Some others include: Nothing Gold Can Stay by Robert Frost Quote from the movie the Last Kiss, "Stop talking about love...

Your Emotional Intelligence or Handling Stress Tips/ Habits

For managing work stress, I have a few techniques that seem to work. I keep my email inbox down to about 5 emails at the end of each day. For me this means I have either taken care of what needs to be addressed or scheduled it for later in the week on my calendar. This makes my todos seem less...
