I just put a McGowan prefit 260 ackley 7.5 twist 20 inch on a few weeks back. I’ve got about 40 fireforming rounds down the barrel with 140 RDF and 127 LRX. Both using lapua brass and H4350. It seems to be liking the 140s at whatever random length I chose but the 127s are pretty decent too...
I saw them last night. They’re still good but not what they used to be. It’s not like the old days when they started with Doreen or The Mercury to really get the crowd going.
It seemed to me like there was much less energy and entertainment and just to point music. Reminded me of an Alan...
200 rounds same lot standard 7 prc Brass. Boxes are sealed and never opened. $500 for all 4. I will include standard flat rate shipping. Let me know if you have any questions or want more pictures for some reason.
Skip Omaha all together. Stay in Lincoln and stop at Round The Bend Steakhouse in Ashland (halfway between Lincoln and Omaha) on the way. I’d avoid Lincoln airport hotels but the ones on the eastern edge of town near the interstate should be good to go.
Howls to locate and then pup distress should bring them in if they are near.
If you have thermal or night vision I have had quite a bit of luck after dark just being quiet and scanning when I know they’re around, especially if they get call shy.
I’ve had similar results with the 165s going 2730 out of my 308 and I have yet to get an exit. Shot 2 deer and a bear between 150 and about 375 yards and they all stayed inside the animals. The bear was shot twice and did have an excellent blood trail but I thought they’d exit seeing how it...
They were available for a lot longer than I thought they would be too. I’ve see 8# jugs of N570 in stock for days now. Times are slowly getting better.
Around here, it is the responsibility of both adjoining property owners to pay equal parts for establishing and maintaining the fence, even if the other neighbor doesn’t want it.
Who knows you might be able to get half a fence out of him just because he didn’t want to respect the boundary.
Probably not quite the same situation, but my buddy got excited and missed a bear with an unsuppressed 338 lapua at 125 yards at a bait and it came back 15 minutes later.
1. Keeps most of the crows out. 100 crows can eat a lot of bait every day.
2. Keeps the rain out. Kinda. No bear wants soggy bread, donut’s, dog food etc.
3. Keeps them from spreading the bait all over creation. You want them to have to come to that spot because that’s where you have a shot...
I find a load that shoots good with virgin brass and chronograph it. Then I adjust the powder charge with the formed brass to match that velocity. Always worked for me so far.
Not long. As soon as regular bear shows up that you want to target I hunt it. If it’s an site you’ve used before it won’t take them long to find it. Sometimes less than 24 hours.
If it’s a new site it might take several days to a few weeks.
