    Skip Omaha all together. Stay in Lincoln and stop at Round The Bend Steakhouse in Ashland (halfway between Lincoln and Omaha) on the way. I’d avoid Lincoln airport hotels but the ones on the eastern edge of town near the interstate should be good to go.

    Howls to locate and then pup distress should bring them in if they are near. If you have thermal or night vision I have had quite a bit of luck after dark just being quiet and scanning when I know they’re around, especially if they get call shy.

    Property line disputes

    Around here, it is the responsibility of both adjoining property owners to pay equal parts for establishing and maintaining the fence, even if the other neighbor doesn’t want it. Who knows you might be able to get half a fence out of him just because he didn’t want to respect the boundary.

    Do bears come back to an area after shot at?

    Probably not quite the same situation, but my buddy got excited and missed a bear with an unsuppressed 338 lapua at 125 yards at a bait and it came back 15 minutes later.

    Fireforming new brass: the poll

    I find a load that shoots good with virgin brass and chronograph it. Then I adjust the powder charge with the formed brass to match that velocity. Always worked for me so far.

    Not long. As soon as regular bear shows up that you want to target I hunt it. If it’s an site you’ve used before it won’t take them long to find it. Sometimes less than 24 hours. If it’s a new site it might take several days to a few weeks.

    I’ve never seen more blood in one spot than a bear I shot with a 150 Etip off a bait. Ttsx will be just fine.
