Awesome thread idea. Mostly WT in velvet in my backyard at the moment, but have to share a nice MD from the work parking lot last fall:

+1 on the GFP phone operators' knowledge being hit or miss. Antelope archery tags are still OTC, but this year they made it buck only. Apparently the NR tag purchase volume was up 350% over the past two years. I think the fee for NR is about $290. You should be able to buy the tag online now...

    FNG from South Dakota

Late to the show here, but definitely recommend picking up the bow! West river SD is a gateway drug to spot and stalk bow hunting. I was away from the great plains for a few years due to work, and forgot how visceral it is to get close to your quarry. LMK if you need some info, I'm still getting...

Lots of times what seemed to be a handful of animals from distance turns out...

Makes me think I need to practice a mental pre-shot checklist over and over again, so when crazy situations come up I can still be ready. Good stuff...

Hi everyone, new member here. Found this thread and wanted to share my SD archery antelope from late September this year. I was on walk in access (state leases hunting rights from active agriculture businesses,) and saw this guy bed down behind a broken up straw bale. It was breezy but not...

    South Dakota 2021

Hi guys, another new member here. I am a recent transplant to Rapid City. Grew up in Bismarck, ND with some gun hunting background. I got into bowhunting a few years back before moving to an urban area for work x3 years. I moved to SD this summer. Now that I'm back here, the archery bug has...
