It’s actually not awful with reduced recoil 2 3/4” loads. I added an AirTech Limbsaver recoil pad which definitely helps over the plastic one from the factory on those guns

I traded for this REM 700 in .243 last October. The gun shop told me the previous owner had blueprinted the action and it was a REM 700 AAC SD that originally came in the Hogue stock. Gun is shooting Hornady 95gr SST’s well under MOA.
