    Hinge release?

I was terrified of this and I used that to my advantage. Use it to think through every part of your shot. Been on a hinge for years now and my teeth are all intact still.

Do you hunt solo or as a group?

Everyone else is dead so I hunt solo. I'm trying to find/build groups to hunt in but I'm not gonna stop hunting

    How do YOU shoot?

Cross dominant shooter. Both eyes "open" non dominant eye squinted to where it's almost closed.

    Urban optics?

I have no problem with that. Price is at the upper end of my budget if not a hair over where I was hoping to be, but it’s net necessarily a deal breaker. Next time the team gets together, I think we'll have a talk and see what utility they see in it. Right now, this is me just riffing on an...

    Urban optics?

I'm posting here because y'all are the most knowledgeable optics folks I'm aware of. I'm a part of an urban/suburban search team. We look for people who've gone missing. It's usually runaway teens and stuff and they're holed up at a friend's place. I always bring my binos on a search but...

What game bird do you hate/depise the most?

Ruffed grouse. You hunt them once for fun and subsequently for revenge

    Hog hunting recommendations in southeast

https://www.collinslowcountryhuntingclub.com/ I'll admit my experience is limited but they put me on pigs and I managed to take my first big game with a handgun. It's a super easy hunt, food is great, rooms are comfy and showers are hot.

    Round in the Chamber

Knowing what it takes to set off a primer, it's very low on my list of concerns. Given the issues with R700s and their Walker triggers, it was a habit I built before my dumb ass figured out I could swap a trigger out.

    Round in the Chamber

Round in the chamber. When on stand, the safety is on and the bolt is cocked. When hiking hard, I will lower the firing pin, "decocking" the rifle for added safety. It's a super fast thing to cock the rifle and make it ready.

    These are what I'm using.

    Rechargeable hand warmers

I got a set from Amazon and I love them. They'll charge a phone and have multiple stages of heat. I'll always have an old style chemical warmer in my bag for whitetail but the electric ones are far better IMO

A neat way to thaw meat

Just slapping it on an inverted iron skillet works very well, too. Adding the additional iron seems like it would speed things up but I've never tried it. A thing to watch for. This will cause your iron to sweat or condense water and, if not cared for and dried well, will cause it to rust

    Doritos

Salsa Verde aren't available in the small, single serve-ish size bags around here anymore and I simply cannot be trusted with larger bags of Doritos. The new Golden Sriracha flavor are pretty great, too.

    Lightweight, backcountry pill organizer

maybe a dumb question, but related. Has anyone had an issue with transporting unlabeled narcotics as you're describing? Yeah, I mean, it's 2 pills so it's not a giant deal but I can see potential for issues and was wondering myself about carrying emergency pain meds.
